Yunet Barea-Hernandez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a dedicated and bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care. She brings a deep commitment to patient-centered care and a wealth of clinical experience across acute and primary care settings.

Yunet earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from South University, Savannah Campus, in 2022, graduating with an impressive 3.9 GPA. Her professional background is rooted in a wide range of clinical environments, including telemetry, trauma, neuro, emergency care, surgery, and intensive care. She has cared for patients in correctional healthcare settings, long-term care facilities, and the Louisville VA Medical Center, where she was recognized with a 2024 DAISY Award nomination for her compassionate service. In each role, she has collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, APRNs, radiologists, therapists, and pharmacists, to deliver holistic and effective care.

Bilingual in Spanish and English, Yunet is known for her strong interpersonal communication skills and her ability to connect with patients from a variety of backgrounds. Her clinical competence, empathy, and strong leadership make her a valued member of the team at Gastroenterology Health Partners, where she continues to support and empower patients on their journey to better digestive health.
