FibroScan examines a patient’s liver with only a touch, and it is used to effectively diagnose liver diseases such as early-stage Hepatitis C, fatty liver, and liver fibrosis.

FibroScan is a simple, 10-minute test.  During this test, a probe is pressed against the patient’s right ribcage and a slight vibration is felt on the skin.  The probe emits a pulse of energy that measures the firmness of the liver tissue.  The measurement data which is collected produces a detailed and accurate diagnostic report for the physician to interpret and use as a part of the patient’s care plan.
