Dr. Dylan Gerlach is a Louisville native and dedicated physician specializing in gastroenterology whose journey in medicine is marked by a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish from Murray State University, followed by a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Louisville. Dr. Gerlach completed his Internal Medicine residency and subsequently his fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Louisville. During his training, he was consistently recognized for academic excellence, earning top scores on his in-training exams.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Gerlach has contributed to a wide range of research in gastroenterology, including work on GERD, protein-energy malnutrition, afferent loop syndrome, and gastrointestinal complications related to systemic illness.
