Dr. Alan Cox earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his clinical training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowships in Gastroenterology & Hepatology.  Dr. Cox is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Cox is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Dr. Cox is also a member of Who’s Who Among American Colleges and is the author of several publications pertaining to the study of Gastroenterology.
